If you had not found the journal in Library Searchwhich may indicate if it's peer reviewed, you can use Ulrichsweb to check. Go to Ulrichsweb opens in new window and enter your UQ login, ulrich peer review. A refereed icon appears next to the journal title if it is peer reviewed. If there are no results, do a search in Ulrichsweb to find journals in your field that ARE peer reviewed, ulrich peer review.
Be aware that not all articles in peer reviewed journals are refereed or peer reviewed, for example, editorials and book reviews.
If you can find no evidence that a journal is ulrich peer review reviewed, but you are required to have a refereed article, you may ulrich peer review to choose a different article.
